How Far Away ?

Yes I have read the f.a.q. answer about lights already.

I have a Pineapple Express clone i got a 3 days ago. I let it dry out for a day then transplanted it into hydroton/10gal bubblebucket. Its doin good roots are already almost touching the water ( transplanted less than 24 hrs ago )

So my question is, How far do i want to keep my plant away ? I have a 600mh with a 6inch BlockBuster hood. Right now its 26inchs away from the glass. Im pretty sure i can get it closer. Id like a more educated answer.

reread the sticky. Put your hand next to the top of the bud. if you can keep it there for a good minute with out it getting hot then the plants can handle it as well! on and a thermometer!

Yea, i knew that and felt where im at was pretty safe, but im sure it could go closer.

Thought someone would have an example maybe, like... no closer than 18 during veg and no closer than 8 inchs during flower.

How about try it and see what happens? Unless this is the only plant you'll be growing. But if it's not, and there will be one after this one, then fuck, experiement, what better way to find out the real answer, not just what works for somneone else in their situation.
