How Do You?

How do you grow a mother from seed without flowering it or do you have to clone it and flower the clones to find out the sex? and while im here a bit of a problem..I have a space restricted hydro grow in a budbox and another area for germination, seedlings mothers etc. I popped 15 AK seeds and now have ten of them in the tank.Now i cant clone them in a couple of weeks and then flower the clones because when i flip them there going to be to big for the tent and anyhow i cant just rip the boys out of the tank cause i may damage the roots on the other plants so you see my prob im not to worried that i wont have a full tank this grow( unless im the luckiest lucky person on earth and managed to pick 10 girls out of fifteen seeds mm nice dream lol) cause ill clone a couple and have mummies..but what am i going to do with the five under the CFl as there getting root bound now and need to do something soon,, hence my first question.. cheers..
1 more thing, how soon can i clone my plants? is it just down to size, amount of nodes and the length of the branches?

the plants usually show sex after 4-8weeks of veg if you dont want to flower...if you want to know before those weeks then yeah the clone thing would be fine...but ure problem I'm not sure prolly have to wait on an answer for that one

Ah i didnt realize that they show sex whilst veggin thanks for that..but unfortunately i cant let them veg that long so im gonna clone em, flip em ,kill the lads ,probably try and find a home for the other five and get 10 ladies in there next time.. any ideas on when i can begin to clone?

as long as it has branches you can take i would imagine you could clone it, i cloned mine early with like 3 inch clippings.

Or ... you can turn the lights back to 12/12 and start the flowering process. Once the plants show sex, cull the males and continue to flower out the females. At harvest, just take all the branches off the plants and prune them way down ... but leave a little green on a few bottom branches. Then turn the lights to 18/6 and reveg the females for another round. Veg them out, then right before turning the lights back to 12/12 to start the flowering process all over again, take your cuttings from them and you're on your way. You can then make a mother plant out of a cutting from the best producer, and of course, by then you'll know which one she is.

If you follow this process, the new leaves on the revegged plants will have some really weird looking growth for a few weeks ... but they will grow out of that phase and begin to look normal again.
