How do you set up a grow tent??

I'm planning on setting up a 32x32x63 grow tent in my closet. I will be getting a 400 watt cool tube and ballast along with a 6" carbon filter. I plan on using a 6" duct fan for the light and one for the carbon filter. There will also be a small fan circulating air on the inside.

I have several questions...

I got the idea to use two duct fans because they are cheap. The fans are 100CFM. Will one be able to cool the light? Will one be able to ventilate the tent?

Because the duct fans are small would it be ok to attach them to the grow tent openings?

Where is the best place to position the carbon filter?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Another question...
Because the tent will be in a closet the plants will need more co2. What would be the easiest, cheapest, and most efficient method?

You've got 37.3 cu ft so that is once every three minutes-ish which should be fine. I would still recommend getting one good fan and using it for the cool tune and exhaust. I can't help much on cool tubes as I grow LED. a 6" duct fan is the same size as any other 6" fan so far as the tent opening are concerned.

I would worry about odor with the duct fans. I use one in my veg can with a carbon filter, but in flower I don't think it would handle the odor.

You want intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top. You will also want some air circulating/oscillating in the tent,

Just open the closet door a tad (or I doubt it is sealed). No need to CO2. The vacuum from the tent is going to pull in air.

I plan on having a bottom opening for air and a fan pulling air through the filter and out of the tent. Now that I think about it maybe I should use a fan to pull the air into the tent.
Would one 100CFM duct fan be enough pass through the filter then the light and out the tent? That way I could use the second fan for the intake.
$25 for a third fan isn't that big of a deal I just want to penny pinch as much as I can with out going totally ghetto. I want a good product!

My wife and I go through at least a half ounce a week between our vaporizer (Arizer Extreme q) and all of our very unique glass pieces. We pay $70 a half for shitty bag seed. I want quality and to save money. I love it! Grow your own and get a better product for a fraction of the cost.

The one cooling your light will be more beneficial if you get a good one. Somewhere around 400cfm is what I would do. I have a beast of a fan cooling my light.

Could I use onefan for the air intake and one to draw the air through the filter then the light and out the tent?? Our closetdosent have a door just a black curtain. My wife and I live with her parents and no body but us ever come into the room, I just wznt to be safe.

Since the windows in our room don't open we alwas have the window air conditioner or the space heater on which makes it incredibly dry. I guess I could put a bowl of water in the tent to increase the humidity and open the door to get more co2.

Any grow tent tips and techniques would be greatly appreciated.

A 400 CFM fan... what kind of fan is that a centrifugal fan (squirrel cage fan??) Where could I find one on a low budget? Or is there a more affordable option like the vent fans I plan on using? Thanks!

Think about what you are paying for weed. One good harvest and the capital cost is more than recovered. Don't go too cheap. Passive intake is fine, no need for a fan. yhe air getting sucked out has to get pulled in as needed.
