How do you properly clean and maintain a bong for the best flavor and smoking experience?

Alcohol is an excellent bong-cleaning solvent.

Add kosher salt as an abrasive. Add high % isopropyl alcohol as a solvent. Shake well, repeat as necessary. Rinse with warm water. Use pipe cleaners and q-tips for the hard to reach spots inside.

Glass bong use acetone follow with very hot water after acetone removed.

Clean as new

For a quick bong clean, just fill it with hot water and shake it vigorously. This helps remove loose residue and makes deep cleaning easier later.

Cleaning it after every session with hot water really helps prevent the hard to remove build up. Once it’s dirty it usually kosher salt and isopropyl for me, then a nice hot water rinse.

I use table salt, 99% ISO & a toothbrush

Great tip bro, I typically do that but with iso alcohol and salt for a more deep clean. It actually keeps your bong looking new with little effort.

Isopropyl alcohol 99 or 91% coarse kosher or sea salt whichever I have more of, and a quick shake then rinse. I mostly use a ball vape on my bong now so it doesn’t get nearly as dirty

Get yourself an excessive amount of bowls for your bong, and you'll literally just rotate throughout the day to fresh bowl.

I keep a large container with a lid on my kitchen counter, and filled it up with 91% isopropyl alcohol.

After I smoke a bowl.. I'll just drop the used/dirty one into the alcohol container and grab a clean one for my next session.

At the end of the day, I just give the dirty bowl container a shake which cleans the bowls, and give them a rinse with water.

Dump the bong and give it a quick swish with alcohol and rinse with water.

Tada!

Clean for the next day.

I let mine go until there’s a thick sludge instead of water, think La Brea tar pits. Then you can scrape out the resin and smoke it in a chamber pipe to resinate the nice fresh bud inside, it makes it much more potent. Reminds me of high school days.

JK, I use iso and salt, shake it up, same as so many above. I still laugh at the crap we used to do as kids, memories.

I have used similar here with my vape rig; it really does keep the bong so much cleaner compared to combusting flower. Thanks For the Tip bro.

Has anyone here tried magnets? I use rare earth magnets, about the size of my pinky finger tip to get the nasty stuff that won’t come off. Obviously won’t work on a multi chamber, convoluted smoking piece… but for beaker, and straight tube it works excellent. Can be glued to a non abrasive scrub or as well for stubborn stuff! Down tubes and bowls go in the iso bath and pipe cleaner’d after

I notice it turns fossile like after a few months and becomes reallllly hard to clean. If you do it routenely it will come right off. Beaker bong with funnel bowl with big hole so it hits harder and takes longer to clog.

Small bowl holes if clogged after just a few bowls it ruins a whole bowl sesh. Baby bottle brush and iso just clean it out like daily pretty much. Or brew up that nasty ass bong weed brew. Ew.

Being dabs only is awesome I only clean my e rig once every 3 months or so. I dont even clean the whole thing just the glass because its clogged too much. Just throw atomizer in iso screw in a fresh one after 75 dabs.

The bong if the stem is simple too just simplicity. Less knooks to clean. I was a real bong boy only bongs.

Iso with salt for the win.
Anything that won t come off I soak with hot dark crystal glass cleaner. It's all natural and works on the toughest caked stained glass.
