How do you find the willpower to take tolerance breaks...

Ok, that is my question...

I ask for the obvious reason that I wish to take one...lol.
How do you take a tolerance break when you have the stuff right there?
Before i started growing my own successfully I could only afford to buy really crappy weed, and when I would run out, then I would be out...but now for a bit I have gotten my timing down and I have started having enough to not run out before more is ready, but with that I have been taking no breaks at all...I never built up a tolerance previously, but now I have one...and that sucks...

So...I guess I just have to want it badly enough to refrain...or...I could just try really hard to hurry and use what I have that way I have no choice but to wait...
Hmmm...

So...again I implore upon you, my fellow RIUers----
How does one find the will to give it a rest?

Try planning an enjoyable experience and leave without any for the day when you get home the relief will be there and you will then realize that you would really rather maintain and be more comfortable than wory about needing two joint's instead of one...hoping you find your happy median my friend! Everything in life seem's to be a trade off, it's all about ballance! Wishing you the best! jack

Shit's gonna be hard bro. How long are you shooting for? I tried a T break not too long ago for a month. It was a failure and honestly pretty dumb. It's better to take like 3 day T-breaks every once in a while IMO.

Just get some more hobbies or play a shit load of games (which could be considered a hobby I guess). Like when you were a little kid, you didn't have to smoke pot since you weren't as boring/bored as now.. so just change that at it should be a little easier to not think about pot during your T-break.

I don't see how it is that hard... I have been smoking for over 15 years now and have no problems with taking a break, hell sometimes I won't smoke for close to a month. Weed is not addicting, it is all mental. I have seen a couple of these threads in the past couple of days and it blows my mind. I had a nasty coke problem many years ago, now that was hard to kick. Took me the better part of two years to clean my ass up after a three year bender.

What i used to do is do the numbers and work out that if my next harvest is due 1st of august, then if i smoke EVERYTHING by 1st of July then i have no choice but to stop smoking for a month :D Other than that i am incapable of self control. With everything. Have you ever opened a packet of sweets and put them away half way through, i swear that it is impossible :D

The motivation of not going to jail helps. I t break for a week every couple months before my po comes even though most of the time they don't test me

There is no physical addiction so you really just have to have some self control

It depends, if my tolerance is super high, then i'll just stop for about a week. And if it's a little higher then what I want it to be at, then i'll stop for 2-3 days. The best way to keep your tolerance down is to only smoke at night, I sometimes take a dab before a meal, but that's the only other time i'll smoke.

My spouse and I, together with two of my best friends take a month off every year-- January. We kick the thing off with by toking all through New Year's weekend, enough that we feel ready for a break.

It ain't always easy, but I think it's a great check to confirm that I'm not in some kind of rut. It's not only weed either; January is a sober month. What helps is that we've made January a month of reflection on the past and future year. The whole month is full of cleaning up the house, journaling, yoga-- that kind of thing.

I found that stopping smoking and taking a sleeping pill the next night made things easier. Just over the counter Sleepeaze Diphenhydramine. I tend to be able to occupy myself pretty well throughout the day (after all, I`m just doing all the stuff I need to do so I can smoke comfortable when I start again) but when I try go to sleep it stays on my mind too much while it was also hard to sleep.

And that is my kind of will power..I can refrain from anything...as long as I don't have it available...I can even do it without being too upset...but as long as I have it, I will be weak...lol. So, on this point friend we can agree....

I also have an issue with sweets, but have recently found that taking chromium makes you crave sugar less...So kind of off topic, but in the event that you only want to eat a few oreos at a time, try some chromium...

My only breaks were when I travelled, I haven't travelled lately so It's been a couple of years since my last break. So, I guess what I'm saying is...I don't.
