I’ve been anxious to do it now. But I had heard to wait till they start showing roots then transplant. Any suggestions on that?
More roots are always a good thing. I think the main goal is to do the process with minimal stress regardless of the root structure. I have managed to screw up some pretty healthy plants with poor transplant practices. Just be comfortable with your process and don't beat the poor booger up and you will both be happy! Best wishes and good luck can't wait to watch them grow.
