Starting from seed (regular seeds) you cant "start" a female plant. You wont know the sex until youve grown them a littl while and then change the lighting schedule to 12 hours on....12 hours off.
If using a feminized seed...your chances for a female are alot higher. Alot! Or if starting from a clone taken from a female plant...that clone is a mini female plant.
Regular seeds have equal odds of being male or female.
And yes...you can smoke any plant you want. But if you want the high I think you're looking for....that only comes from a female plant. Stick with females. Mrder all males unless you plan on breeding.

this one is good, once established you will be able to start from female. right now you got a 33% chance of one
male female Shemale. for a novice grower you can polinate with the male but your fruits will be seeded and contain less smokable materials.
