If i did a carbon filter at the top of my scrog grow box how would i set this up. What kind of fan would i have to use to connect the filter too and how does it connect. I have heard a lot of people saying how well they work but i haven't seen much as to how to specifically set one up.

appreciate the help

i put my filters in a window box, then seal up the window with vents to the outside. Air & light tight. Ill use a high velocity "can fan" to pull cool room air through my lights and push it out through my window box and carbon filter. This cools the lights and exhausts the room while eliminating the smell. Pulling air through the light is better because if you push air through, the seams and holes in the hoods become heat leaks, if you pull through, they become little suckers pulling in hot air from around the hood. In these pics im cooling 2 X 1000w hood with a 4" growbright high velocity "can fan" ,170cfm. Works good but i have recently upgraded and added another thousand watter in the flower room with a 6" GB high velocity, 424 cfm. now my 4 incher cools & exhausts the veg room while the 6 incher does the same for the flower room.

or this type didnt come with the white cotton around it. These are growbright filters from HTGsupply. I have seen some of there newer ones are coming with the white filter material. Dont think theres much difference. I also just MADE my own carbon filter. With my new 6" canfan . i used a peice of duct(45) to vent my fan outside. In the 45 i placed activated carbon in between pieces of Scott Shop towells and swampcooler material to hold the carbon. Works good.
