How do I install my 6" inline exhaust fan?!

Alright, so i'm growing in a 2x7.5x6.5foot closet, and bought a high powered 6" exhaust fan, and a fitting over it (so i can drill a square in the closet). I noticed the fan is quite heavy and am wondering how in the hell am i supposed to install this thing?? I thought the fan would not weigh much and that the metal piece could support it, but there is no way the fitting could hold that weight, i dont think at least. Any ideas anyone?

Oh, also, how do i know which way to put the fan in. Plus, I have like 2 3 feet of room on oneside of the closet which is very concealed, but then i don't think i could install a carbon filter. does anyone know any ways around this?
