Ok so i've heard a lot of hype about LED lights, and was interested. How exactly do i grow with them? is it the same 16 hr for veg, 12 hour for flowering? And what wattage do i need to use for a 4x4 room?

The same light schedule. 18/6 or 24/0 for veg and 12/12 for flower. Wattage is questionable but I wouldn't go with anything less than 400 watts in there, whether it be LED or HID. If you are going to grow with LED's you might want to research the SoG (Sea of Green) grow method. It is probably the most effective way to grow using LED panels.

As for brands to check out try AdvancedLED, Black Dog, Kessil, GrowLEDHydro, Magnum 357, Blackstar, ProGrow, I'm sure I left a few out, all of these are proven brands, though. Remember, with LED panels, you want at LEAST 3w diode if you're going to use them as your main grow light. And as a general rule, you get what you pay for. One of the drawbacks to LED lighting it the up-front cost. If you aren't prepared to buy some real expensive lights and let them pay for themselves over the long haul, then you might want to consider other lighting methods.

nothing changes.

most all wattage leds are advertised as a supposed 5x5 coverage area, but running multiple in a 4x4 would be recommended.
i recommend at LEAST 250 watts, but more would be better. 500+ would be optimal
