How can you improve the odor of buds that were dried wrong and smells moldy/musty???

Hi All:
I have a friend who is a newbie and he got a really nice outdoor harvest! But he dried it wrong and it ended up turning brownish and it had a moldy/musty smell! I have read online that their are ways of helping this problem! Any help and suggestions of a way of making it smell better? Like something you could use in a Foliar spray or anything anyone has had any positive results with? And as far fetched as it may sound! Is their any way of changing the color? Much appreciated!!

orange or lemon peels in a jar w/ur stash might help the flavor
