What’s up everyone? So I got this cheap UFO led and incorporated it in to my cheap closet grow. This post will basically be to see how bad or good a cheap light setup will do. 0CA51792-1329-49F6-A9C6-9C34DA9AAFB4.jpeg Along with the UFO I have 4 household bulbs 1 5000k led, 1 2700k led, two 4100k cfl and a “full spectrum” screw-in bulb. 7C523EBC-6872-4F0C-85E9-66C8DDCC4712.jpeg Here’s day one after installing the UFO DA2932EE-B879-498B-9157-4237A206B13F.jpeg up until yesterday they were just grown with this. 2B9B4CEC-88AE-411A-BFCA-BABEDE00E3AF.jpeg So let’s see what happens with the addition of the amazon UFO.

Whats your total true wattage?

Edit, also I would make some wide cones out of white card for the cfl, most of the light comes out of the sides, if you can redirect it downward you will get more light to your plants.

Be nice to see your progress, many folks give up posting before the end.

Total draw is just about 200w
 
So I downloaded a lux reader app and it’s saying right around 25,000 lux at the plant tops and can get over 40,000 if I put my phone higher up. Too much? Too little?
 
I pretty much just downloaded it for shits and giggles, I know they suck. Been messing with it a bit and I’ve been getting some ridiculous readings.

Not bad growth for a cheap amazon UFO and some screw in bulbs.
 
I will admit he growth over a week wasn’t bad. But yeah using a quantum board would’ve been wild for your grow.

Thanks! I’m working on setting up my 4.5x4.5x8 bloom room, I am a super stickler when I want something done right, it’s taking more planning than I thought. The logistics of it all are frankly, pissing me off. I’ll figure it out though. For now I’m gonna use my ghetto closet.
