Im curious to know what everyones thoughts were on my plants. Im not sure how much longer they need to go but im sure im still a few weeks out. They are starting to yellow so its getting close. Also does anyone know if this purple plant is healthy or is it purple because its sick. Whats wierd is the buds areant purple, only the leaves. On the other hand i have another plant where the buds are completely purple with green leaves so im just gonna finish em up and see how they turn out lol.

Dude that's how you do a backyard!!! And The purple might be from cood weather or just a purple pheno.. Possible deficiency one of those lol but really though that's what Im shooting for next year in my back yard

With a big grow like that are seriously asking if those plants are unhealthy because of the purple colors?
That bud is purple because of its genetic phenotype and coloring of foliage is quite natural for outdoor plants with dips in temperature.
Beautiful garden you have there, any idea of what strain?

thanks for all the input! This is only my second grow so its nice to know im on track. Last year was a nightmare but i still ended up doing ok. I had a shit ton of mold, rot, catapillars broken branches etc etc. This year ive spent the majority of my time focusing on preventative measures and so far its paying off. The majority of the plants are blue dream. Im also growing sour d, true og, purple myst, and pineapple thai.

The purple plant is from a seed. One of my plants last year seeded and polinated one of my other strains and this is the outcome lol. I have no idea what it is honestly because nothing i grew last year looks like this. I just call it purple myst (purple mystery). The temps have been up and down in my area but maybe only this one plant is effected by it.

You've got a garden most of us can only fantasize about having- for now. The best outdoor is far better than the best indoor ime. Nice variety of strains... Cheers!

Yeah that's a hell of a variety I personally love blue dream had lots of em in one of my outdoor grows last year .....this year is all OGK outdoors for me in all my gardens lol couldn't pass up the genetics I had a shot at so that's where I'm at very pleased with results ......but those plants look amazing for a grower on any level let alone someone's second grow good for you looks like you learned from your mishaps and are guna do quite nicely and to me preventing problems is the best policy whenever possible

thanks guys. Like i said im pretty happy with the results so far. I just have to make sure i dry and cure properly. Last year i chopped all my plants and just hung the whole plants upside down for 7-10 days and then when they dried i threw the untrimmed branches in 75 gallon totes for a week or two and it smelled fire so i think im going to do it the same way. Although i was thinking of trying out a machine trimmer but ive heard alot of bad things about them.

If you do not have to worry about a potential killer frost, or cool, wet, humid overnights which may precipitate bud blight and PM... I would wait until the end of October for harvest. Be ever vigilant.

Good job, and good luck, you are in the homestretch...
Well that's the thing is I keep finding bud rot and no caterpillars. It gets very wet here over at night because I live near the coast so there's a ton of moisture in the air. I'm not sure what I should do. Pull early or wait it out and lose more bud to rot? I just don't want to spray anymore this late in the season

I feel your pain & live in pretty much the same climate. I had to chop early due to shit weather & was basically all out of options. My take on it was: I would rather have something to smoke, rather than nothing at all. But, I guess it comes down to the question of: Do you take that chance?

Beautiful grow btw!

Well then,
Pull only the plants which are the most afflicted with bud rot...harvest selectively and methodically.
And, or, just cut out any rotten parts of bud(s) and spray the area with an H2O2 solution...
