Looks like they're using the light from the sun or they put them in a window for the picture. *Shrugs* And they look healthy.

Mr. Dro

man, my plants are about that old and look that small too. i don't know how to speed up growth. i don't want to feed it any nutes yet.

I am using couple of 48" Florecent light (GE Daylight 40) with 3050 lumens / 40 watts / and 6500k color temp.

This was the only one with higher color temp (and decent amount of lumens). They also had another one but the color temp was much less and I read that in the veggitative stage we should use light with higher color temp.

I sometimes put the plants in the window to get sun when its really sunny and bright out there.

We used miraclegro soil which feeds upto 3 months and have not put any other food in the soil yet.

Any suggestions as to what we can do to improve these plants? I would appreciate your help :)

Welcome to the forum. Your plants look fine. You will want to get them transplated in to containers that are not clear. Light can damage the roots. Iw ould wait until some roots are showing around the inside of the cup and then put them in bigger pots. What are your plans going forward. That looks like quite a few plants you have started. VV

Thanks for your feed back. I do see some roots around the wals. I will make sure to transplant them into a different container.

Also we wanted to make sure that we had plenty to fall back on just in case if some didnt take it :)

Plants look small, but healthy. We also don't know what strain you are growing.

I have pix of my plants at about 30 days in my journal.

Hi Newto. I'm new, too. Be sure to check out this site. It rocks. I have read that miracle grow soil is not good for mj. Your plants may be slow due to the soil. I hear the miracle grow won't flat out kill them, but it is not a good soil for mary jane.
good luck and happy learning!

I've heard that Miracle Gro is not good too. But I keep using it. Why? ;)

From what I've read its the nutrient mix in Miracle Grow that is not balanced right for the "weed". It works, but yields are about half or so....
It's great for tomatooes........
