First time grower currently growing gg auto in soil. I am in my 5th week of flower. This gal gave me hell in the beginning due to newbie mistakes so I didn't do too much training. Other than the obvious light/heat stress(I have since moved my lamps farther away). How am I doing? The close up cola is of my most mature cola. I plan on harvesting by maturity. I'm thinking I have about 2-3 weeks before I harvest that one due to the amount of white pistils. I'm open to any advice/tips for my future grows.

never harvest based on pistils. Also since your canopy is somewhat even i wouldnt think your colas will mature at much different rates
I've been reading so much on here I thought general rule was to have at least about 75% dried pistils. Man there is a huge difference in those taller colas especially my main one. What do you recommend?

Harvesting strictly based on pistils is not advised.... But i dont even start looking at trichs until 90-95% of the pistils are orange. Never harvest a plant with more than 10% white pistils, its not ready.
Yea I know I'm not close to being ready. Just trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can.

I agree with @JoeBlow5823 advice here. That's a pretty good rule of thumb. Ideally you'll want a hand microscope to check the colors of the trichome heads. Trying to get a nice ratio of cloudy and amber. However that is a preference that can be calibrated to your liking.
I have a jeweler's loupe. Does my 2-3 more weeks estimate seem accurate?

Lots of white pistils that still need to color and retract, then more swelling and ripening.

I prefer my loupe out of all the tools I have. 100x hand held scope, 60-400x bench scope and my magnifying glasses even. Trichome checking is an after thought for me, but I still do check them (after I've made the determination to harvest).
2-3 weeks is a good estimate, but it might be slightly on the short side. Hard to tell between different strains, but I'd say your estimate puts you in a good approximation of when they'll be done, but I'd keep an extra 7-14 day window open at the far end, just in case.

Wouldnt hurt to check back with us in 2 weeks. But looks like 3-4 to me. Ive seen some strains mature super fast and some seem like they want to stay kids forever.
Not rushing at all. I started this with two bag seeds that ended up being hermies so I can't fuck this up. Thanks for the help.
