Hours of light last week of flowering

:?k i hear alot of different ways to cut back on lighting on this site for up to two weeks in the end of flowering stage. Can anyone who has tried 6/18,10/14, give a little insight on why this is better then 12/12 all the way thru till harvest.
 
This was under discution.In the medical marijana community here.They concluded with no real change in yeild.I'm not fooling with it after that.My 2 pennies
 
it really wont make a difference. the only thing ive heard that might make a difference is that some people will put the plant in one or two days complete darkness right before they chop it down. but thats just somethin some people do but no known affects come from it. if i were to try anything i would change from 12/12 to 10/14 just to see

Best advice, Dont mess around with the flowering hours... 12/12 is the schedule you want. Giving the plant complete darkness for the last 48 hours may increase resin/thc output.
 
id increase the light the last week not decrease..the last week u want ur plant to use up all those sugars and enzymes and shit so u give it more light not less..14hours at the most so 14/10
 
What about before you begin flowering? Is there any input on giving your plant a full 24 hours of darkness to start it?
 
yes..give em 24hours of dark before u switch to 12/12 it will let them know its that time..know what i mean..they'll show sex, preflowers and flower sets faster then if u didnt
