Homemade vs. pre made grow box

I think it really all depends on what you really wanna do. If you have the time Id say built that baby but if not then buy the pre made. If you do decide to make it yourself, map it out on paper first.

I have a super flower 3-1 supercloset. It ran really hot and didn't show up put together correctly at all. I could go into the list of mistakes but lets just call it really bad craftsmanship. Plus a 5 gallon res for 12 plants? Couldn't leave it unattended for more than 2 days without needing water really badly. That didn't work for me at all. I called them and they explained that my unit was the first one that there new employee put together. OUCH that didn't sit well with me at all.

This is where they earned my respect. They sent me two more fans. I added one to the carbon scrubber and had to drill a hole in 16 gauge medal and add an intake fan. Changed it to a drain to waste system with an external 15 gallon res. There were allot more bush leauge mistakes that needed to be addresses. I rolled up my sleaves up and fixed everything, changed out the hydro system, ect, ect. I called them again to complain again about how much stuff I had to do to make a turn key unit work correctly. To my supprise they felt really truly bad and offered me $500.00 for my hard work. Not a store credit but a check for $500.00. Pretty cool, when they could have been jerks. I love my supercloset now, but it took allot of work. I was upset but they totally took care of me. Props to supercloset.

On that note, I would still build your own if you have a closet to work with, the Dark rooms are really cool and come in a bunch of sizes..

i think home made has the advantage, i grow in tents, the flexibility to move and change everything around helps out alot as your plants mature.
