i am after a big yield. originally i wanted 16 pots in there with a 600w hps but wit say 9 or 10 plants would i get a bigger yield? tips and advice please!

hi, i have the same box as you have, and i can only just manage to get 8x 11 ltr pots in there, i have veg'd for 4 weeks now and it is cramped.
i am running a sunmaster 600hps, and the temps are hard to keep down imho.
my light has been at the top of the tent thru out the grow as lowering it wasnt an option,

Geez azman. I'm assuming you live in Arizona by the name, which would explain why your temps are so damn hot. That'd be a rough place to grow without the proper equipment, i.e. AC unit, or chiller or something of the like. I live in Colorado and temps have been pretty damn hot, but still I manage to run an average temp around 78 degrees with my 600. Try a MH bulb. Conversion of course. Gotta get that red spectrum. I'm starting to learn that more plants=more yield, regardless of space. Saw a guy pull 1.9 LBS! from a 3x3x6 tent. I believe he had 11 plants.

hey, i have 2x mobile ac units but i really cant keep my average temps below 84f
the bulb i am runnign is a dual spectrum bulb, but i think i need to run a aircooled hood,
this is a first attempt at growing, and while they are big and bushy they are a lil heat stressed i think.
tbh at this stage would be stoked to achieve roughly 3oz a plant.

3 oz a plant is pretty dang good, depending on the size of the plant I guess. For an indoor grow though, I'd say that's not bad at all. An air-cooled hood would instantly drop those temps. They pull out, on average 60% of the heat. Sun Systems also created a little thing called an Equalizer to prevent hot spots. I have one, and run my lights about 6 inches from the canopy with little temp problems.

16 pots can fit in the tent but is the yield gonna be as much as puttin 9 or 10 in there? i got a cooltube and it worked with bringin the temps down but i live in the uk! boiling hot summer at the moment here though. i just want weight, im not interested in smoking it.

think im gonna put 9 plants in there. hopefully i will achieve 2oz per plant with that. what do you reckon?

i suppose 9 plants could easily do 2oz depending on how long your willing to veg, pot size and climate, i was pondering using a cooltube but research showed poor reflective shield,
so think i will get a complete new hood and ballast then i can keep this light for a new only room.
mine are currently at 30" but they could double/triple in size when in flower,
im currently growing a bluecheese strain thats supposed to be a high yielding plant.

i can get cheese cuttings but it STINKS. ive got northern lights and some lsd seeds (24% thc).

im gonna get some big bud on my next grow though.

if you change to a cool tube just attach your reflector to the cool tube..hey presto.
