Home made light timer?

Does anybody know of any ways to make a light timer with stuff found around home?

There is potential to make a decent timer for me, as my garage is packed with old radios, and random electronics, but I can't afford anything, so making a timer is my only option.....

You won't be able to make anything reliable with stuff you find at home.

Go buy a cheapo timer, there are some for $9.

Unless you're one hell of an engineer you're gonna need to find 10$

they got them at walmart for $4.44...

this iis the first thing i thought when i tried to imagine a DIY timer lol. if you dont want to do it manually, spend the 5 bucks, or 10 for a slightly more decent one
