home made carbon filter

hey herbalist's. can someone tell me if this will work as a carbon filter. i asked seller but they didn't know? dozy coonts.thanks friends

Yes it would work... You have some cheap DIY tutorials on the forum.

I disagree...I don't think it would work. I don't think the air flowing through it would have enough time in contact with that foam to make much of a difference. I personally think smell would just flow right through. Even if you doubled or tripled the thickness, I still don't think it would work...Not unless you're thinking about using that foam to hold REAL carbon in place...lol

i don't think it would work either. i think it would remove some fragrance at first and then after a week or 2 dead. would be an effective "pre-filter" before your activated carbon filter points. i usually use both styles in my diy system and does a fine job. i even think it extends the life of my activated carbon by pre filtering larger particles

I know it's a little more expensive, but might be worth checking out.
