Hi everybody! I just need some advice on the clones i took. I took two clones and planted them directly into a growing medium. All the procedures while taking them were proper. I just wanted to know if they will root ok and everything because they planted directly into a growing medium. Also i have a flowering og kush that has been trained to be bent for security purposes. Most of the branches are growing towards the sun, do i cut off the branches that are hanging down below and will never be able to grow towards the sun? Let me know your guys opinions! Thank you

i can talk to the question on putting the cuttings straight to soil
i just did that, it did work, but took a long time(real long time)
on the other hand, i skipped the rooting compound, probably part of the slow rooting
i have seen quite a few accounts of growers just putting their cuttings straight to soil

I always put mine right into soil in a solo cup filled halfway then I cover the top of cup with saran wrap after misting it well, after about a week I take off the saran wrap and move under direct lighting

Yes you can clone directly in a soil medium.
No nutes, cold watering.
and keep a sandwich baggies over the cup to keep the humidity up.
but just like Growone states it does seem to take a long time.

Ah shit what if its already in a 1 gal pot, i cant put surround rap over the top and i dont wanna transplant into a cup and stress it evn more. So if its not under soround rap will it be ok knowing that therye not that humid??? I mist them in shade once a day. They are under flouros. My guess is that it may just take a little longer. Any word??? Thanks

of the 2 clones to soil i just did, 1 was under a humidity dome, the other no dome
tell you the truth, couldn't really see any difference
but again, these clones took a real long time to get going, and only 1 of the 2 has begun to grow well

Thats funny. Im working on the same experiment.
my control is half covered.
I still mist daily.
Some I have just floating in a cup of water which I've had success in.

i'm thinking of the water method next time
the 1 frustrating thing with the soil method, you can't see the roots
knowing that you have a good root ball is big, live and learn i guess

I've had decent success with the water method.
I take a baby jar and tape it up so no lights get in the water.
I then cut a round piece of Styrofoam and dip my cutting in hormone and poke a hole in the styrofoam for the cutting.
I change the water out every 3 days and have had roots as early as a week up to 2 weeks.
Either way they get transplanted into soil.

This clone was by water cup method and 3 weeks into flowering.

I'm playing around with the same method.woudn't a b vitamin or b52 need added every water to speed it up.and I took a clear cup.wrapped it with a trash bag taped it.so i could see the roots.
