Hello farmers just had a quick question that I hope can be answered from someone with a few grows under their belt. On my first run around I had 5 going in 5 gal pails all in soil. I ran 1000w in flower stage but only ended up with 8.5 oz.. My question is can I still use 5-7 gal pails but yield more in the end? I want to add another 1000w will that help? Last but not lest if I go up to a 10-15 gal pail and run 2000w can I yield close to a pound a plant? Thanks for all the help that's about to come!!! Well it better!!! Put the doobies/bongs down and help a new farmer out!!!bongsmilie Thanks dr.green

yes... you could but it depends on alot of things. a pound plant will be huge so you would need alot of room... dont shoot for a pund plant especially indoors. indoors grow alot of small plants not a few big ones. you dont need another 1000w. what will increase yeilds:bigger plants, nutrients and takin care of it. Bigger pots bigger plants. What you want to do is look up super cropping and lsting. Makes your plants grow low and bushy instead of straight up.

I recently yielded 14oz from 3 plants in 5 gal containers under a 600W HPS. They were vegged for a long time though - 12 weeks. That was probably my tenth grow.

My advice would be to stick with the 5 gal containers and the single light. Dial in your growing so you're having fully healthy plants right up to harvest. Try and see if your yields increase (which they should). When you've got it dialled in then add more lights and increase scale after your skills have developed.
