has anybody heard or tried the "high in the sky" method of growing in tree tops? from the book 'invisible marijuana'. tips on how to get water to it without climbing the trees will be excellent. and the book doesnt say anything about drainage holes in the buckets? did he forget to mention it or part of the plan to keep water for the plants?

While I have my doubts about how stealthy the "high in the sky" method truly is, I would think drainage would be essential. Otherwise after a thunderstorm, the plants would conceivably be drowning in excess water. Placing 4-6, 1/2" diameter holes in the bottom would be sufficient in a 5 gal. bucket. Also, break up a old terra cotta clay pot into small 1" shards and place in the bottom of the bucket before adding soil. This will greatly aid in drainage and reduce compaction on the bottom.

To water without having to do the monkey bit, I think a mounted pulley (black) above the desired spot, with dark green nylon rope to heft the water container above the plant, a gal. jug would work. Fill it, heft it, see how it sets above the plant, which will tell you where to poke a 3/16th inch hole. Then fill, lift, tie off until water has flowed out. Roll & hide the rope. There was an extensive thread on this subject about 6 months ago, I think in the outdoor section.
