Anyway, as you can tell from my name i'm in the uk, i'm growing in a smallish cupboard but with a good height of 7 foot, its my first time and i'm shittin it! haha
I'm quite worried by the electric use of lights and therefore went for 2 x 125 watt 2700k red/6400k blue maxibright fluorescent lamps.
I didn't want to leave a trail anywhere and managed to get my hands on some cheese seeds and a local skunkweed that we call dudleydunk
I know and understand some maybe male and i'm on the lookout everyday all the time for the showing of the gender but also read that until your into flowering that you won't know the gender (what a pain!)
Anyway they are growing alright i guess after 4 weeks (Cheese) and 3 weeks (dunk), the biggest plant (dunk 1) is 13 inches in height and i've just cropped the top, Cheese 1 is 12 inches tall but lots busher (cropped that at 12") and Dunk 2 is quite skinny but standing at 11" and just been cropped and cheese 2 i cropped at 6" and its growing lovely with bushy leaves although 1 side has messed up leaves, like its disformed!
I've used mirclegro soil and a babybio boost for 2 days when they were seedlings before putting them on some other feed and finally when repotted into the current pots changed to another feed, most the plants are fine but have noticed on a few that the bottom leaves were starting to die off so i cut them off and on 1 or 2 plants the end tips are hanging down and a little dead, is this over feed or under feed, over water or under water?
Regarding the bushyness of the 2 different strains is this due to it being a different type of marijuna? Could i crossbreed the plants?
I've also staggered the plants so i can get a little regular crop on the go as i only want to smoke it myself and paying out £180 for an ounce a week to smoke is killing my pocket! I'm growing 4 at a time under a light planted 4 weeks apart from each other.
I have since bought a 250 watt sodium light which i plan to use for flowering the plants in another room, double the size of the vegging room and have been told by a friend they will double in size which made me think i would need a second 250 watt light, but worry that i will at least need 2 x 400 watt!
I'm also worried that the smell of pukka weed will be all around my house and more so my next door neighbours as i live in a terraced house! Do these carbon filters get rid of the smell of the weed while they are flowering or do i need to buy some big ass air fresheners on the go??
