Hi I'm new here from Canada

Hi there, I'm not really good at this introduction stuff. But here goes...
I live in Niagara Falls Canada, I'm 55, I used to puff mostly black hash was my preference (mixed with tabacco in joint style usually around 4-8x per day) until I had kids, then I took it out of the house for 15yrs. It was mostly for fear of legal problems but then I figured if my kids choose marajauna it was their choice not my influence.
Anyway, my health is/was bad I have problems with trying to control pain. The doctor had me on everything from percs to Demerol to Celebrex to me also taking 3 tylonel3s 6x a day + the stress from my health he had me on 4 antidepressants. Needless to say I was nearly the biggest mess I could be in.
Then when Glenn Frey died in Jan this year it was kind of an eye opener. He died of complications due to severe rheumatoid arthritis having to take the meds causing ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.
I was heading the same direction literally my guts are done from too many pills and I decided enough is enough... I needed another way to control my pain and relax me.
So I went to the doctors and within a week I had my medicinal papers and I'm legal
Talk about a feeling of freedom....

We'll my asthma was still on and off bad but under control, and I'd never felt better, I was functioning, doing things I hadn't done in years. I felt great! Off all of my pills not as much as a Tylenol.

But then, my 27 & 23 yr old sons had to introduce me to shatter, I think this started the bigger problem. Today I sit here reading your happy notes feeling jealous as I can't inhale anything. I'm working at half lung capacity. I have to see a respitory specialist. I am praying I get a control of it as it just started up out of the blue. I got pneumonia and it cleared and now it's bronchitis and asthma from what their saying. But VLRD.Kush is coughing the same as me after the doctor has had me on a full course of antibiotics and prednisone.

My big question is Does the vape really work that safely? And if so can I get some recommendations pleaseon good ones. I have a large one with a bag I don't use because it hurts my throat.
I try the edibles but they make me anxious (but I am getting over that) but who doesn't love to sit back and puff.

hey Trace, welcome to RIU. You may get better response posting in either of the 2 following
forums cause sometimes the intro isn't read by too many folks. maybe shorten it up some. ie: best way to medicate for asthma. you can use the search feature as well. good luck!!

Welcome, you could try a pax by ploom vaporizer. That's what my pops uses. Says he never coughs off that thing. Also you can try edibles (search for different recipes in the community) if you are going to try edibles make sure you try it in small doses as some are very strong. Good luck to you.

I'm actually rather surprised your doctor didn't recommend them or tell you about them
