Hey im so new at this...my second and third plants

Hey whats up....i got some plants and im trying like hell to make them grow. another thing is i do not know how to tell when ready to harvest. the 30x jewlers loop will be here tuesday.
if some one can tell me how to add pics ill get them up asap.
