I have a few girls that are outside,3 months old and they started pre-flowering. Explain this to me...how long do they pre-flower before regular budding starts??All the others have not started anything yet.Curious, thats all.

all that preflowering is is showing the sex of the plant... they do this under normal vegetative growth after so long... again its just showing plant sex.. they wont start actually producing bud until the fall when the days are about equal light and dark... which is the 12/12 light cycle they need to start flowering....I have a few girls that are outside,3 months old and they started pre-flowering. Got another one you can clarify for me.
I thought close to the stalk,where the branches come out...if there are 2 little ...lets describe it like horns,no balls it would be female,now the pre flowering looks like small buds. I could be wrong..this is my 1st grow.How can I make sure they are girls.Those are some mid-grade and they are around a few of the same,but I have some Thai about150-200' away.

if its truely showing preflower then there is no mistaking a male and female. youwill see balls where the branch mets the stalk
