Cutter is the cheapest to the shopping cart on 3590's by 3¢ usd after discounts on both sides(cutter=$42.99...PLC=$43.02). PLC is a few ¢'s higher on the other components. Though PLC is cheaper without discounts(to anyone). PLC is the cheapest to the US customers door, once you have factored in shipping and discounts.

Cutter for 3590 kit(3590, holder, adapter, reflector, pad)=$53.78 then $19 shipping = $77.78
PLC for a 3590 kit(3590, holder, adapter, reflector, pad)=$59.05 then $6.80 shipping= $65.85

PLC can ship 99% of DIY orders (32 "kits" or less)for $13.45 or less.

FIY @welight your code doesn't work on the said products individually. They are ~$10.86 together currently with code applied(but doing nothing). It works on the kits and other products.

Yes correct we dont have a code on holders/adapter/reflector because we sell it at lowest cost from the getgo. $10.86 is AUD, USD equivalent is USD7.82, making our

Which is why I used the kit that get a discount for calcs. Your kit cost $53.99USD after discount as right now.

And without the 3590...cost $8.31USD

12 kits ordered from PLC, including the diffuser lenses, holder, reflector, but not the pads, comes out to $54.04 each after shipping charges and DIY10 discount code.

Combine that with the the 10% discounted heatsinks + AS paste + all mounting screws + ratchet hangers from NorthernGrowLights.com (out of stock at the moment, but coming back soon), drivers from mouser, angle aluminum to wrap it all together, and I can fill a 4x4 room with passively cooled 1050ma per cob for a grand total of about

$1,175 delivered.

this DIY stuff is getting so much more exciting now that prices and availability are becoming more accessible.

i remember spending $60 for a cxa3070 from mouser and it was a Z4 bin!

just dickin around with various little cpu builds with DB 5000 and 6500 in veg right now. was taking me forever to find time to do the big build and i realized i prob wont have a full setup (aka one or a portion of one 5x9 tent) till after the 3000 and 3500k bump up and also drop price. so sold off the cobs i had for the big rig while they were new instead of installing them. as you know as a business owner, inventory works against you over time. im goin lean on cobs for another month or so, but i have plenty of gear so no loss other than a small efficiency hit.

i was working on a multi-drilled bar setup that has both 6 and 4 at appropriate spacing (drilling for 8 spaces accomplishes this) . was going to do 6 bars at 4 cobs ea then bump out to 8 bars at 6 cobs ea

but i decided ill take advantage of the cost drop/bin jump to go straight to the 48 cob setup. which will now be 65% eff in DB vs 62 in CD. (vs the 24-cob 'tester' @ 50% eff). save me a bunch of drilling. ive seen enough with the setup i have and the results on here that imma skip that beta step

So you haven't done it yet and are making big claims and jumping into fights you're not apart of yet? And are also basing much of your claims off a bin that are yet to be released? Not till at least second quarter. Then 6-8 weeks for most orders to be filled. So you have some time to wait still. A 3% bump on something that you believe was already superior to anything else you have, or waiting a full harvest or more is how I look at your inventory issue. And could have had the other half still new top bins. Anyways...I get you will always want to have the next best thing. Most just happen to grow in the present too.

My point is not to be a dick. We all know where I stand with led's. My point is the LEDs(cob or not) don't need theory and hype in disputes and discussions...they need actual well documented results to put behind your opinions and feelings.

If you have the results with your previous led's then post them up. But waiting on a new tech that is different from what you used before that seems to not have been cutting it...is a very very wrong position to put yourself in. Specially when trying to "defend" leds so much as you have been doing.

I wish you all the best with your plan. And when your done will be giving you all the praise. The concept is good and needs to be done...then done again and again. And by more than one...but needs to start somewhere. But it needs to start before you try and use it as proof

It's a lot easier to win a fit when you already have the knockout punch in your pocket then it is trying to survive in the ring while you try and make it come to fruition.

not trying to win a fight

if you can give me a reason to not wait 4-6 weeks to save 10%+ on 5 figures in gear that will be by definition ~5% more efficient as well over the 2+ years i will use it, im all ears.

plenty of gear. fillin rooms more important than drillin holes right now

I dont need to have 100% hands on experience with a full tent to make the call... my par meter alone tells me that yes in fact the few cobs i have going perform as advertised, and ive used every other light tech under the sun in last 20 years

its real
