here you go:
http://www.petsandponds.com/en/reptile-supplies/c219173/p17106069.html

Ive been looking for a humidistat (its extremely dry here in the yukon, about 20%-25% rh), and a day/night temperature controller and this neat little gadget has all those features in one nice little setup. It looks like its exactly what Im looking for and its only 100$! Just a day/night temperature controller is $130 and it cant controll humidity. Im talking about this one:
http://www.bustan.ca/submenu.asp?menuID=1&SID=13

Only problem is I have to buy the mini fogger as well (only $35) so it would be about $140 + s&h at the end of the day. But there is also this:
http://www.petsandponds.com/en/reptile-supplies/c219173/p16456278.html

Thats only 70$. "Four programmable spray interval settings– every hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours. Four spray duration settings: 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds." <--- I LOVE THAT! On the other hand it doesnt have day/night temperature controller. Which do you guys think is the better way to go?

p.s.- Ive tried sitting 2 huge bowls of water in the closet and humidity only went up to 30% and its a pain in the ass having those bowls in a small space. And dangerous mind you!

LOL!! i KNEW someone was gonna say that! I was just waiting for it.. Dude, you dont know how dry it is up here. Its great that people can get by without it but think of where I am located man. We live in totally different worlds. You have to come here to know what I mean.

and btw, I am already noticing the large effect its having on my plants. I just transplanted them to dwc but they are drying up like crazy even with frequent watering... so yeah... i believe its necessary.... (i know I took them out of their dome too soon... newbie mistake... Ill know for next time) Why spend $100 on beans that dont have a good environment to grow up in? That seems more wasteful to me.

dude.... what are you talking about? DEhumidifier? What planet are you on? call me crazy but I dont think DEhumidifiers are good at HUMIDIFYING. heheh... Im just bustin your balls man

but WHY isnt it worth it? try to explain yourself. If $140 will create an ideal growing environment for YEARS (or until the thing breaks). I think thats worth it. Even the term "worth it" is completely relative in this situation and a matter of how much of a perfectionist you are... Im a perfectionist on a budget. If half ass is good enough for you thats awesome, but I wanna see what Im really capable of you know?

lol. then buy a $140 humidifier. Those pet store sprayers are awesome and gimicky. I have owned several. But even professional reptile breeders use room humidifiers versus misters. You're trying to up the humidity not creat a cool looking fog in a very tiny area. Not to mention the $140 humidifier will probably be alot more accurate. http://www.consumersearch.com/humidifiers/kenmore-15408

To be honest in the winter my humidity gets down to 20% and i cant tell any difference between my winter grows or summer grows. I had a humidifier before and it only gave me troubles...you have to change the filter weekly, if you dont your gonna have serious problems those filters turn nasty in grow rooms...just my experience i wouldnt worry about if I was you

Watching mist creep over things is awesome. But its also very gimicky. Not an ideal way of adding humidity and they tend not to last that long. I'm not sure how the ultrasonic ones work but the ones with fine tuned sprayers get buildups and the mist starts to degrade in fineness. eventually you're just misting water all over the place which works in a terrarium but perhaps not so great in your closet.

THANK YOU!! saying "thats not necessary" isnt helpful but EXPLAINING and giving evidence that it isnt necessary is EXTREMELY helpful.. Thanks, gonna just wait and see what happens I guess...
