Hey guys! Am new here and wanting to make a first grow. Just wanted to know a few things to help get the ball rolling a little smoother. I have a 2.8 x 1.4 x 2m grow tent with 2x 600 Watt hps/mh lights n reflectors I have the whole ducting and ventilation set up, timers, fans, nutes, hangers all that jazz. Got it in an all-in-one type deal. And just wanted to know some things like: How many plants I could grow? Was thinking of 12/12 from seed. Looking at an easy time saving, money saving overall less mess, less stess thing. The seeds i've got are power skunk feminised . Looking at a soil mix i dunno though whatta yous prefer Soil or coco? (Am just gonna experiment the first time, but some tips and know how from you guys would really give some piece of mind and knowledge to maximize my grow in the future) So hps all the way ? From what I've told you guys how would yous run the show? How much could I yield? I'm forgetting some things here lol But yeah i've been doing my research flat out and in no hurry to jump in the deep end a little help where possible would mean more then you know cheers!

You could probably fit 20 under each light in about 3 gallon pots.

Especially if youre doing 12/12 from seed.

Try out some promix! The stuff thats in the green bag/cube

Or any of the products they offer are pretty nice.

You will need to get more and more seeds if you dont want to set up a clone box with a mother tent.

If youve got a spare closet and get a t5 florescent fixture you could easily take clones of one of the best growing plants and keep it

then everytime youd be about 2 weeks from harvest take clones

Youd probably want to grow more than a single mother since youll need 40+ clones since some just dont live.

Best of luck! have you done a dry run with all the lights on and everything running under normal conditions??

If you did a perpetual and harvested half of the tent at a time you could probably get an LB easily every month. Depending on strain.

If not about 2 LBs every 2 months or so.

So 20 plants? Vegetative?

Well I'm from Australia and haven't really looked at growing mediums yets(thinking that coco coir stuff anygood? Or just the ol' soil mix will do) so can ya get the right pro mix stuff at any plant and hardware store or am I better off getting the shit off the net?

So ya reckon getting another light and set-up for my clones or can I just grow them in my tent under mh/hps?

Well youd have to split your grow room in half with some black and white plastic sheeting so you could set each one to a different light cycle.

i would get a small set up for your clones though

just a nursery flat and dome with a heat mat and some cfls. fill it with some perlite.


promix is available alot of places but im not sure if it is outside of the united stated. i couldnt tell you.

But any thing that has these rough ratios of ingredients would do fine

COMPONENTS:
Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss
(65-75% by volume)
Sea-based Compost (from composted shrimp shells & seaweed)
Limestone (for pH adjustment)
Perlite
Mycorise® - endomycorrhizae inoculant

And also definitely keen on a perpetual crop !

You will need a clone box with a small cfl,heat mats.. A veg room with min 400w. A flower room/tent with the 2 600w with cooltubes.

Once dialled in you should get about 5-6 oz a week. Also get potting mix(with osmocote pre added) ,perlite , profesional blood and bone from Bunnings.

coco you need nutes form the get go and soil if you use nutes from get go you will over feed as it contains nutes already. only feel the need to tell ya as i done soil n feed and killed my 1st grow years ago still saddens me to this day

i realise a lot of factors come in to getting a huge yield and growing tasty plants to smoke, i hope this helps yous a bit to help me! haha cheers for the info and shit yous guys awesome! <3

and now that ive been thinking id still like to do cloning but the perpetual crop im not so sure about anymore. im pretty happy to have my grow every few months i reckon to perhaps save a bit of confusion especially since im new to this . maybe in the future i might look towards it and expanding my grow , we'll just have to see
