Hermy, was it my fault?

This starts 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, I have 3 plants in Veg, once in flowering for 2 weeks. The plant in flowering appears all female at first and growing like a beast, like twice the size of the other two all germed together.

With the plant growing so fast and it appearing female at this point, I clone it twice. This is my first clone so I wanted to get in there and toy with it, only my 2nd full grow now.

Fast forwarding a bit now, I had to go out of town for 1 week for Thanksgiving week. I come back and the top of the plant has grown into my lights and burned the top flowers and leaves of the plant. A few days after that I start to notice some male ball clusters (maybe half of the nodes).

My question is, is this hermaphrodite my fault by letting it grow into the lights or, is it just genetics? Is there any reason to save these clones or should I toss em?

Stress causes hermies. It could be genetics as well. Ya never really know by 1 plant being hermie. The thing is that it will turn hermie so the clones have the ability to hermie as well.
