Hermies, Hermies, Hermies!

Everyone's always complaining about there plants going to Hermie and blaming it on the seed company.
But you know what I noticed about most of these post? They're inducing flowering before there plants
are sexually mature. You need to veg 'em until they show there preflowers. Which usually takes about
8 weeks. And going directly from 18/6 or 24/0 to 12/12 stresses out your plants. I recommend
that you start at 22/2 and reduce by one hour every week until you reach 12/12.

with a 250 watt closet grow? i grow 12/12 from Seed and in 6 years have only had one go hermie ever.... Thanks for helpful post guy.

And why does Mr Nice recommend going 12/12 from seed on few of his sativa strains(inside if you have limited space)?

I only grow from fem seeds and only veg for 2/3 weeks at best before flowering and NOT ONE single plant has ever hermied on me ever!!!!

And i use 24/0 and then drop to 18/6 and then to 12/12 and NO issues !!!!

I veg mine for a month...they show preflowers and then I flower. That is my personal choice. The strains I grow mature fast and I can rely on them. Tapering down my light cycle from 24/0 to 18/6 to 12/12 by lowering the lights on time by an hour or two weekly would suggest stressing the plant into not knowing what the hell cycle it is on thus producing..wouldnt ya know it...HERMIES. Follow this advice and your female plants will start wagging cocks and balls all the time lol. I appreciate the advice but this thread should be called..."how to turn your plants hermie everytime"!

remember, folks, that hermies are natures "norm". this way they allways have some make avalable. lots of streins send out a few hermies. if its just a few, i cant see destroying a great pheno over it. i have allways had even a seed or two in mine. and no explanation. even in my god, if i let her go a long time. and often, its LATE, that a hermie shows. remember too, that it takes 30 days to make a seed. so, if your crop is staggered, its possible, if the hermie is late, like many are, that they will do NO HARM. providing the other plants are not in their "receptive window". pick em out, so at least you can save the smoke. then throw the clones of the plant out, if u wish.

the point is even stressed plants don't have to show man balls, that what we call selection....not ???
the thing is, shanti grow his seeds outdoor, and say he don't see any hermies, when all the problems come from the indoor grower, isn't here a problem, why test a plant outdoor when the problem is showing indoor ???
