Does a hermie produce feminized seeds or do you get feminized seeds when you pollinate a female

I BELIEVE you can do it, but I have HEARD that you might have a chance of just getting another hermie (just like when you cross male and female, you have your chances). Are you looking for making feminized seeds? there are other methods. Cheers!

As I understand it, if a plant starts out female and turns hermie then it will produce hermie seeds. You would need to take pollen from a hermie pollen sack and pollenate it with an actual female plant to get feminized seeds.

I have done this and it worked, 80% female results, no hermies!

ive read it can go either way, female seeds with possibility of some hermis too or even all hermis, best way to get female seeds is just let the plant polinate itself, those seeds will be all female, when u see the bannaners poping out,let them grow and hand pollinate buds with the pollen from the naners, ive never had a hermi plant so im not gona coment much on that, ive got 8 plants now about 2 weeks old, this is one experiment i will do on this grow, let one plant pollinate it self to get fem seeds

a hermie will produce seeds but the seeds will be male and female. and when you pollinate a female plant it will produce both male and female seeds. you can only produce female seeds through this process which I c+p'd for your edification...enjoy

► How do we use it to create feminised seeds?
The silver ions in colloidal silver act as an ethylene inhibitor/antagonist which forces female plants to produce male flowers that have pollen that has only female chromosomes.

Quote:
Treatments which reduce the ethylene level in the tissues (hypo-baric conditions, treatment with benzothiodiazole) or antagonize the action of ethylene (CO2) cause the formation of male or bisexual flowers in place of female ones (Byers et al. 1972)

We simply use a regular empty spray bottle ($2 at your local shop) to spray it onto the leaves of a known-female plant to induce the pollen. This resulting 'feminised pollen', unlike regular pollen from a male, comes from a female so it doesn't have male chromosomes. As a result, any females then pollinated with the feminised pollen produce seeds that can only grow into females.

We can even use a mother from a "CLONE-ONLY" strain for this (allowing us to create a 'back catalog' of seeds), or even a female grown from a feminised seed - all that's important is that it's a female plant.
