Herm or freak?

Greetings and good luck to all who read. I propogate my own seeds indoors during the winter months(im cheap) for my summer outdoor planting. I have followed the instructions listed in this section for pollenating a female so i may continue my fav plants cheaply. As i was inspecting my male who had started dropping pollen a bit more than a week ago, and noticed around the single group of male pollen clusters that i left, a funny growth, a calyx. Upon a closer look with a magnifying glass it is the only calyx on the plant. I have never seed a calyx show up this late in the process. Anyone else ever had the phenomenon happen before? If so, does pollenation with a hermie predispose my seeds "in the oven" to be herms? any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

This is my question
unless a female is forced to grow male flowers with sts colliodal silver or gibbleric acid it will most likely lead to plants pre disposed to be hermie (not that they will be) but babes of plants pollinated by true hermies are more likely to nut up even with minimal stress

I would assume that this is a true male plant thats been forced hermie from too much trimming\stress. It probably wont be an issue. Its my understanding that Male-hermies are not related to female-hermies, that is to say, just because your male is easily stressed into herm doesnt mean that any female offspring will carry this trait.
Good luck and happy growing!!!
