I cannot comment on the potency of the strain yet(heard good things), but I can vouch for the Sannies link. I have 2 of theirs that broke ground a week ago, have a long ways to go for any smoke report.are the legends true? will this strain knock me on my ass in two tokes even tho i'm a quite a heavy user?
No. Its ok but dont believe the hype as far as a strain that you get baked from. There is a lot of body to it and it is pretty strong, makes my hands, feet and head tingle but there is very little head high. Check my sig if you want to see some pics of it. I am personally not a fan of it but I just recently got a new patient and she has some fused vertibrate and a bit of nerve pain and she says it works wonders for her pain.are the legends true? will this strain knock me on my ass in two tokes even tho i'm a quite a heavy user?
Would you describe it as "numbing"? Good for headaches or nausea? There is a lot of body to it and it is pretty strong, makes my hands, feet and head tingle but there is very little head high.
Damn, I should have started with the anesthesia then...and now that I started a skunk I'm out of room for a while.I've grown it twice and still own some seeds. Straight from Sannie. It's good but a lot of the hype is bull. I never rated it above an 8/10. I'd say his K.O. Kush (a herijuana hybrid) is stronger. But, the Anesthesia sold on his site was the strongest. The last 2 don't yield as well as Herijuana unless you veg long.........
Why? What difference is there in the effects, qualitatively speaking? Which seeds have you grown out that you found to be especially narcotic/anxiolytic/painkilling?I much prefer a good kush or afgani when I smoke an indica over heri,
The characteristics you describe (narcotic/painkilling/anxiolytic) are generally ascribed to Indica plants. The most well known of them come from India/Pakistan/Afghanistan where they were (and still are) used to make hashish. Why? What difference is there in the effects, qualitatively speaking? This strain is the result of mixing the best Kentucky outdoor phenotypes
(we've always called this 'killer New Haven Strain') with a cherished
Humboldt strain from Petrolia called Headstash that has been grown
in Southern Humboldt for over 20 years. We then line-bred this plant
for 15 generations using planned back-crosses every third generation
always selecting for buzz and taste ( we even make hash from males
to evaluate nuances ), has fruity after taste that explodes. This
strain was developed for pain and nausea, but through serendipity
we discovered an appetite stimulant par excellence. This strain
is not one for the novice smoker as it has a crippling buzz. I have
lost entire days R&D'ing on this one. We have always eliminated
nay plants that went over Sept 20th to ensure we got this harvested
and CAMP saw only footprints. Strain is now about 70/30 indica dominant
while maintaining good mold and pest resistance and keeping yield
in 1-3 lb. range trimmed and bagged. When quality and quantity both
count this strain will bring it home. Turns purple if temps are
allowed to drop at night and smell increases exponentially. This
plant also will grow well indoors but we recommend budding it slower
than normal to take full advantage of the yield gains we have bred
into the plant. We use 14hr.'s dark for 2 weeks, 13 hr.'s 2 weeks,
THEN 12/12 rest of trip, will finish in 6 weeks if go to 12/12 immediately
but slower equals much more with this strain. Will flower under
9 hours of darkness
Go get some good hash or oil?...what happened to making our own...lol. Thanks for this backround info, since it was originally an outdoor strain, I think it will do nicely in-ground.If I have the story correctly, Herijuana was originally developed outdoors by/for marijuana activist Steve Tuck using a strong outdoor Kentucky hillbilly strain called "New Haven", crossed with a particularly strong California pure indica strain called "Petrolia Headstash." The Petrolia headstash is essentially a pre-Soviet invasion Afghani indica intended for hash production, grown locally. The idea was to create the ultimate "medical" strain, and the development of this particular strain took over ten years of outdoor growing and selection.
Breeder Motarebel took the strain from Woodhorse seeds, then worked on it a bit to stabilize it. Unfortunately, Motarebel got busted for growing a few years back, but before he went away he gave the project to his pal Sannie of Sannie's seeds in Amsterdam. Sannie grew it out for a few generations, then took what he felt were the best ones as parents for the "keeper" that he sells. Right now versions are available from both Sannie and I believe also from Woodhorse, and both companies have other strains in their lineups that have come from crosses with Herijuana. Its not clear to me how different Woodhorses version is from Sannie's, but since ultimately they come from the same stock and are supposed to be stabilized/inbred lines, I'd imagine they're more similar than different.
I haven't tried this one (yet), but my understanding is that it is what its billed to be, namely a indica-dominant strain that has excellent medical properties, especially for pain relief. While its almost certainly not "the strongest" strain out there, its still pretty darn strong, and many medical users seem to really like it. For what its worth, Sannie himself claims that his own "KO Kush" (which is derived from herijuana) is stronger than the Herijuana itself.
In general, I think questions about which strain is "the strongest" are more about bragging rights and marketing purposes than anything else.
There is probably a genetic/physiologic ceiling to just how potent any marijuana plant can be, and I think by this point all of the strongest strains are hitting that ceiling, or close to it. In practice, does it really matter if strain A is 10% stronger than strain B? So you have to take 3 puffs of strain B to equal the effect of 2.5 puffs of strain A? I think its more important that the strain have the medical properties you're looking for, and (if you're growing it) the right growth characteristics.
If you just want THE strongest stuff possible, go get some good hash or hash oil, either one of which ought to be quite a bit stronger than even the most potent flowers.
Making hash yourself is certainly one way to get it!Go get some good hash or oil?...what happened to making our own...lol. Thanks for this backround info, since it was originally an outdoor strain, I think it will do nicely in-ground.
I will certainly do more research since I am currently growing it for the first time. Hash is easy to make, but yes it does take quite a bit good quality bud. It's mainly a grower's luxury you don't often see on the market.Making hash yourself is certainly one way to get it!
Again, if all you're after is pure potency, you should be able to take any mid-grade weed, and use it to create hash more powerful than the very most powerful strains.
But not everyone wants to do that.
For some people making hash is sort of an extravagant use of weed they would otherwise be happy to smoke. You can make it from trimmings, of course, but you have to be growing, and have enough trimmings for it to be worth the effort.
On potency, maybe I'm in the minority, but IMO having the most powerful stuff isn't always a good thing. When there can be a delay of a few minutes between the first puff and the effect, and each puff hits you like a sledgehammer to the head, smoking the really hard stuff it can make it hard to calibrate a dose!
On herijuana in general, there is quite a bit written on this strain if you care to search on the internet. IIRC, I saw a thread on one of the other cannabis boards that included some comments by Motarebel and Sannie on the strain and what they did with it.
