Here is whats in my closet

Right now I have 3 in flower. :weed:

Sally has been in 12/12 since 10-1. Is taking forever, but some crystals are starting to form.

Buella has been in 12/12 since 10-12. She is starting to get somw nice crystals forming on her. :clap:

The third plant went in to 12/12 11-5 it is of unknown gender at this time. :leaf: (I didn't turn the lights off around it for the pic like I did on the other 2, it's not really such a sickly color)

I've always had a green thumb, some of my houseplants I've had for over 20 years.

I just never even tried to grow weed before this spring. Now I wish I'd have started a long time ago..

Sally is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall, I've never measured her. Buella is about 1 1/2 feet tall. THe unknown is shorter and more compact, maybe a foot tall if that.

I think Sally vegged for 3 to 4 months, Buella vegged for 6 weeks and no name yet vegged for about 6 weeks. I sprouted buella and no name at the same time, but put buella into flower sooner. I was going to try to keep no name as a mother, but I needed to make room in my veg area, so I took a clone to keep and put the main plant into flower.

I think your girls look beautiful,,,its excellent to see more woman growing,,because I am one too and I think we do it very well when we do it .....:weed:

Thanks for the compliments on my girls. They don't even compare to some of the plants I've seen on here, but I'm proud of them just the same.

So you're a grow chick too Jats? Welcome to chick growers paradise. Nice to make your aquaintence.


I'm not flipping my light cycle, it's fine how it is, I was just curious to see the answer in case it ever comes up.

because i'm thinking of making a nice little tent for my plant and future babies

at Walmart, go to the sporting goods section where the camping gear is and look for something called an emergency blanket, it should say mylar on it. They're are $2 but the stuff does tear easily. I know some people get better grade mylar, but I'm not sure where they buy it.

That's what I'm using for now. Sometime in the future I want to paint the inside of the closet white so I don't have to screw with the mylar.

eh the inside of my closet is already white but i put a lamp top on it and it works pretty well... but i am probably going to make some giant tent... i want to try vertical growing soon

and i have a hydro system i made last year but i have no where to put it... lol

I've never tried hydro, I'm a soil girl.

Have you tried your hand at cloning yet? If you do any topping try cloning the tops you take off, it's good experience. I use a clean razor blade to cut the stem at a 45 degree angle and then cut some light scoring slashes up it an inch or so. I run it under water and dip it in cloning powder and put it a prepared pot. I save the big plastic bottles that tomato juice come in, cut the tapered spout part off and use them as domes to keep the clones humid. If the leaves are too big and touch the sides of the dome I just cut them back partway to keep them from touching anymore. A few times a day, I use a misting bottle to spray the inside of the domes.

and if i clone a male will that clone also be a male?

n where did you get the clone powderrrr

a clone is a copy of the plant it came from, so if you clone a female you get a female, if it's male you get a male. I'm starting to clone for gender. I take the clone and put it into 12/12 to see the gender of the main plant. I want to get some mothers going so I don't have to keep starting from seeds, I can just clone and flower, clone and flower.

I buy mine at walmart, but I don't know if they'll have it at this time of year. Check the clearance from summer in the greenhouse. Mine is Shultz cloning powder, I've used it for years with regular plants.

heh so i can cheatttt instead of putting my plant into flower i can cut off a piece and put it into flower and see if it's male or not

>: ) hehe i think i'm gonna put some stuff together to do that in the next weeks

Give the new clone a few weeks to grow some roots before you put it in 12/12. I usually keep an eye out for new growth, which means it's got some roots, and then put it 12/12.

I don't know if it's better quality, but littlebat found rolls of Mylar at a floral supply.

Therein lies the rub. I waited til all had flowered. One of my girls decided boys were fun, too, so started growing balls, and since my marks washed off I didn't know which clone came from that one, so I had to kill all clones of that strain.
