Herbies Freebie - White Widow x Skunk #1

Just in case anyone wanted to know, as i did, which breeder the current regular freebies on Herbies come from.

I emailed Herbies and asked, and was told it is from Seedsman seeds, and has not been on general release yet. But they said it has almost identical spec to White Skunk by De Sjamaan.

It comes from the Mrnice seedbank and it's called shark shock, originally known great white shark.

What are you talking about? The free seeds on off are Wbite Widow x Skunk #1 and they are from Seedsman. This is what Herbies told me directly.

btw, EVERYTHING i wrote in the first post is exsctly what Herbies told me. I didnt make the comoarison, they did.

I was wondering what the second guy was talking about.(edited: Perhaps he was right after all?)

(mistake edited below) is the originator of skunk #1, and responsible for most skunk strain via tens of thousands of seeds since the late 60' early 70's. He brought skunk to Europe on an exodus from the US. I believe he had quit the seed game but still kept working those original skunk genes, and is now getting ready to release seeds again. Supposedly because he doesn't like the shady business it has become(at least that is what I read).

EDIT. That is Sam the skunk man I was thinking about, I have no idea about seedsman, sorry about that. Sam the skunk man is the originator of skunk#1.

The White Widow x Skunk #1 regular freebies are produced by Seedsman – they’re not on general release yet, hence they’re not currently listed on the site. Try looking at the product info for Widow Skunk regs from De Sjamaan, as the specifications are near identical

I have the shark shock and cotton candy growing right now in my journal (well, not like inside the journal, yet they are inside the journal, oh man). They're 27 days in veg tonight, and tomorrow they're switching to 12/12. My first time with all of them.

The cotton candy has stayed much shorter than the 2 shark shocks.

I saw all that stuff about it being great white shark, but when I looked up gws, it was made from other strains. So I'm just calling it shark shock.

The larger plant is a shark shock.



This is the cotton candy, which you can see isn't as tall as the shark shock, though they're the same age.



Sorry I don't have buds to show you yet but they'll show up very soon. Well, one or both of the shark shocks might be male, in which case they'll be killed.

I just ordered some pineapple chunk and some cheese from Herbie's. I've only ever bought seeds from Nirvana. The new order comes with (regular) white widow x skunk #1. I don't know what I am gonna do with them, I'm used to la femme seeds. In the old days when I had the farm pre-internet, I'd harvest a couple pounds of seeds each year. I tried to get all the males the final year, but there among the 8 footers was one 2 foot little dude....smoking a cigar after pollinating the harem. I guess I now remember regular Nirvana seeds and removing males...it was white widow. I tell ya, that stuff makes perfect pressed keif. kief. keef. However you spell blonde lebanese. It was my first foray into the hash world. I followed some you tube instructions, I pressed and baked it, broke off the piece, lit the bowl....Oh Man...I hadn't had that hash taste in 40 years.

So I guess I'll grow the herbie freebie and make some more. As Pink Floyd says, "Ya give him a couple of short, shark, shocks...."

Yes, the White Widow x Skunk #1 freebies are from Seedsman. They are nice stout plants ( the 2 I started with from seed). I topped 1, and left the other alone. The one I topped just once turned into a nice bush, the other, typical main cola. The are compact plants, so let them veg if you want to end up with bigger yields. Great smoke, strong and tasty. Nice intense body high/stoned type of feel. I will keep a couple going. Not super fast growers,but worth it if you aren't in a big hurry or just to keep a couple.
I also got Sleestack Skunk from Seedsman-and WOW! 5 regular seeds, 4 were female. They are the fastest growing, fastest rooting plants I have ever grown. They don't mind to much/ or not enough food or water.They just keep going. They have a one of a kind smell that makes you drool. Even in the clone machine with just plain tap water, they keep on growing. There is zero shock when you transplant-they are still growing the next day. Huge main cola if not topped.If topped, you get big bushes with monster stalks. It is mostly sativa, but buds fast, and is claimed it is one of the best hash producing strains ( Sativa hash= Yummy). I have grown indoors an outdoors since the mid/late 80's. It is the most impressive grower I have grown. Similar to original Skunk #1 growth rate, but thicker stalks and stems, and even heartier in the grow room. Amazing smell. great up high, and the taste is heaven. I think they call it ''Resinator'' now. I got the seeds from a free promotion, they didn't have this on their list when I got them. Now I see the same strains, but called Resinator. I also have Barneys Farm LSD (awesome,awesome,awesome), DNA lemon Skunk, Sensis Norther lights (great), Dutch passions ''The Ultimate'' (great), THC Bomb (so so), and BC Bud Depots ''Mango'' (pretty good, awesome taste and smell). My point is, I can grow twice as much Sleestack x Skunk#1 because they grow and root and veg so fast.

I know it is not really related, but I mentioned DNA's Lemon Skunk earlier, but I didn't say anything about it. It is worth mentioning, for anyone who is curious. It was all it's cracked up to be.Amazing lemon smell and taste, nice big,fast buds. They were some of the stickiest buds I have ever had, and people used to beg me for it.

I got one of the green love potion freebies goin...also.got.the cotton candy and the ww x skunk...to.the side for.later...the green love potion interested me most....they were fems

I got some GLP freebies from Herbies a while back...and have since grown one out. I was very happy with it. It hsd a verybstrong pungent smell in flower and once cured. Very floral and lemon pledge like. Pretty good yield. Flowered s little longer thsn i would like though...coukd have gone 10 weeks but i took it at 9. Id definately recommend it though...and I will give it another shot one dag.

yeah I.figure its gonna b good....seems like.everything ive grown last few runs comes out smellin like lemon pledge...I love it...but ive had like 4diff strains come out smellin like that....did it purple at all?...the.description says it may

I had slight purpling of the sugar leaves, but not on the buds themselves. Didnt have anything close to low temps though so that may be the reason ey.

yeah most of.my buds that.color up were.influenced by cool nite temps....low 60s high 50s...so.that glp come out mostly indica?...bushy?...resinous?
