Hempy Buckets With +LIFE (Veg+Bloom )?

Hi Folks,

Not sure if this question belongs here or in Newbie Central but thought I'd try here first.

Just starting my second grow, and I'm doing Hempy Buckets this time around. First grow was soil and I have a container of +LIFE (Veg+Bloom ) kicking about.

Would Hempy Buckets benefit from using microbial inoculants such as this, or is that primarily for soil-based grows?

Cheers!

Thanks-I'll look into why soil needs microbes and not hydro. I was wondering why no one seems to mention beneficial microbes with hydro (passive or active hydro).
microbes break down food in the soil for the roots. hydro already has food in the nutrients/water.

I think you can use beneficial bacteria in coco ok. Some guys use castings. IDK, I'm treating it like straight hydro and just feeding.

the question is

will you use tap water(chlorinated) or well water/RO water (non chlorinated) ?
I use tap water, but I have a set of water filters (including charcoal) that filters the drinking water in my house. I believe they remove chlorine and chloramine.

Seems as though most people aren't using anything other than water and nutrients, for the most part. Might just try the same and see how it goes.

Technically soil doesn’t need microbes however they work in conjunction to help break down Amendments faster. So you will get better growth and yield with microbes as opposed to without them

Just did a little bit of reading and it seems most people don't use microbial innoculents for passive or active hydro, but some do.

I guess it can't hurt to add a small amount of +LIFE and see how it goes. Will let everyone know if I do go that route!

Seems like it can't hurt, so I think I'll try adding +LIFE to one plant and see if there's any noticeable difference!

I personally like to use microbes with Coco which is technically hydroponic. Something to keep in mind, the Microbes will make the nutrients more effective, so be careful when adding nutrients. I would start at a lower rate

Good call! Because they're still young (one week since sprout) I've been feeding at about 1/4 strength. Will continue to lowball the nutes to be safe.

I do use recharge in coco a few times, they say right off the bat is the most important though. It made my other plants really pop, makes weed pop as well in my very limited experience.

Never heard of Tribus so I Googled it...do you use it just for hempy bucket seedlings or for mature plants as well?
I use it all the way through. They even have veg and flower products. Divide the number of clones you’re using and run half with and half without for a couple of cycles. See what you think about it. Best of luck with it!

Good idea, will update a month or two from now! Cheers
