Help with hood design

I have a 4' x 5' area currently being lit by 2 600w hps lights in seperate reflectors. I was wondering if it would be more efficient to build a custom reflector that would house both lights and cover the area from wall to wall. I had thought about using sheet metal and cutting it in the corners then bending it down and connecting it with high temp heat tape. Then drill holes for the light sockets to mount to. Then you could just drill holes in each corner to hang it with chain. maybe line the inside of the reflector with mylar. It would be pretty easy just wanted some opinions if maybe it would give better light coverage than 2 seperate reflectors. Thanks for all opinions.
