help, to-do list for first grow

you should post specifics for the area that you will be growing in, but of course you will needs nutrients, a light, possibly an inline fan, possibly a filter, possibly some sort of intake, an oscillating fan, ummmm a good hood. the list never fricking stops. get ready for what your getting yourself into because this growing is serious shizzznit. good luck and godspeed my son.im trying figure out and put together what i need for my first grow coming up soonim trying out a AF strain and im not so aware of what essentials i need to get in, any tips or tricks would be very helpful

okay scotland , wow thats pretty badass.i am planning to just experiment with the one, i live in scotland in the uk. i have been told all i need is a 65 watt CFL and feed for veg and flowering, i really am confused and i dont know where to get everything i need
im not sure if you have a local hydro store where you live, but if you do they would be able to supply you with most of the things you need. If you dont have a local hydro store , then plan on either traveling to one, or ordering things online. Remember to be discreet and smart!
items you will need for a CFL grow are pretty basic compared to HID operations which present a lot more problems ( mainly heat related ).
focus on finding out what types of nutes you need , a lot of people use fox farm. The type of nute you use can vary depending on your medium ( soil , hydro , coco ) Just remember not to use miracle grow ... that stuff is bullshit.
also work on getting lights, and finding an area with decent vent.
CFL's are pretty decent and although i use a HID HPS, some growers swear that CFLS can be just as effective as these more powerful lights. With CFLS heat wont be too big of an issue but you need to remember that one 65 watt is not going to be enough to get the full potential out of your plant. During Veg and even flower , your going to want a bunch of these up. Lights make Lumens, and Lumens force feed your plants the energy they need to grow. More lights , More growth! Even with one plant, your probably going to need a few more than one CFL.

well ive decided, im gonna try MAXI Automatic its a cross of Critical Mass x Auto AK. im going to use a 4ft high chest with a flip open top for my set up, wish me luck al be on with updates
