2x4x7 tent,400 watt air-cooled light, no carbon filter yet, 6" fan(500 cfm mounted outside of tent. After running for a few hours tent temps. DO NOT rise over 63. I have only one side of the hood vented out so as to draw fresh air in from the passive intake. I do have a speed control on fan set at it's lowest settings. The speed control is not letting me set it any lower. A couple of small fans in tent to circulate the air.
If I vent the other side of the hood it will only be drawing air from the outside to cool hood and not from air in tent. I have no other source of fresh air. I'm afraid to remove glass from hood and not be able to keep the light right on top of the plants. But if this is the only way to draw some fresh air in then so be it. I think you seasoned growers have an idea of what I'm talking about, so give a new guy break here and throw some pearls of wisdom my way. Thanks.......................
