Help - Seedling are falling over

OK , I've searched the froum a lot on this topic but still need some help. I am a total noob at growing ^_^. I germinated 5 seeds and planted them, and all 5 sprouted out of the soil at about the same rate. 2 of these are now about 2 inches tall with the 2 types of leaves and they look to be doing very well! ( I just know these will be the males). However the other 3 arent doing well at all. 2 of the seedling have fallen over and are laying on the soil, they will not stand up on their own. The other one is standing up, but the first 2 leaves will not emerge and the seed cap remains (looks like a little round ball). Any ideas as to what went wrong with the 3? I am using non food soil and miracle grow pre diluted plant food. I put about a couple of table spoons of this plant food on them when they first came up and I'm thinking now that this was a huge mistake. I know pictures would be great but I dont have a camera. Please help

Also my HPS light is still shipping so my light source is just the sunlight during the daytime (not much in November in minnesota) and my room light during the evening / night. My 150w hps should be here within the week (i hope)

take the out of thier containers they are in now and replant them into fresh soil without any nutes for starters, you dont start feeding plants untill at least 2 weeks old and growing healthy, they carry enough in those small green leaves that look different then the normal MJ leaves, those hold nutes for the plant untill a certain point.

second, while you are repotting them into fresh soil bury them up to the first set of leaves and get a fan on them on low so they have a slight breeze, it should be enough for them to move a little but not blowing them over. try these 2 steps and let us know how you make out.

also im not sure what kind of lights your using but the light needs to be as close to the plant as possible without burning it, put your hand above the plant and adjust your light, if it burns your hand then it will burn the plant.

get a desk lamp and modify it for light, the sun is far too far away and so isnt your normal lights in your house. this should be sufficient untill your other lights gets there. if you can swing it get a CFL (Compact flourecent light) get any kind the 5000-6500k range is ideal, these are nice because they put off alot less heat than a normal light bulb and provide more lumens. you probally have one kicking around in your house already. they are the spiral shaped lightbulbs (you prob knew already but fig i would say it anyways :) )

Like what Mattthebrute said, replant them and bury the stems to the first set of leaves.

and sounds like they stretched due to lack of light. get more lights, or move them closer.

over watered....... they shoud be fine for at least 5 days between watering. I go by weight, feel the pot with just dry grow medium, gauge the weight. Then water and fee the weight again. Plants that are getting short of water will send roots out more vigourously to search for water. Top em up when almost as light as when you first weighed em.

can it be something as simple as the soil shrinking with the moisture? maybe if you just replenish the top soil it'll give the fragile stem the support it needs when you water???

It's your lights, thier stretching for blue spectrum. It doesn't matter how many lumens you got if it ain't the right wavelength. Replant them deeper. Some strains stretch at first to beat the competition and slow down after a few leaves. Nevermind, didn't see how old this post was.
