hi everyone, first grow here.

i planted 3 germinated seeds 3 days ago. 2 of them have turned into cute little 1" tall sprouts.

the 3rd one actually did something a little wierd. the entire seed pushed to the surface. i looked at the soil and saw a little ball sitting on the top of the soil and realized it was the seed. i covered it up with about 1/2" of new soil and watered with 100mL.

will this fix it? is there something else i can do?

im curious ... does the tap root which shows during germination become the main root or the actual sprout which you see?

thanks!

You shoulda left it alone but I'm sure it will be fine. Sometimes they pop up with the shell still attached, it will fall off.

And that little white thing coming out of the seed becomes the tap root and once thats established, it grows up and once it breaks the soil, anything above soil is your stem. Hope that answered your question.

It should be fine. But if it pushes out again leave it. It will shed the casing itself. But you should have just left it alone.
