Also for your lighting question, I would reccomend using HPS, but a 100 watt system would probably run you about $70 on ebay. But trust me, when I switched to HPS, there was a very obvious positive response in my plants.
But if you are strapped for cash you could use 6500k Daylight Cfls. They're cheaper, fairly versitle, and they work.
If you do go with cfls, use one of those socket adaptors that you screw into a socket and it gives you two plug in outlets and those light sockets that plug into the wall outlets and surge protectors. You'll be able to daisy-chain the protectors together and have three bulbs plugged into each protector. Then you can mount the protectors all around your box. Also if you go to lowes or home depot, you can get this whole system for about $50- $60. Bulbs included.
Still I recommend using hps though. Much Luck with your grow.
