help please with bugs

Hi, Please can someone help me. My brother gave me one of his plants to look after for a while & when I went to water it earlier it had little black bugs crawing in the soil & a sort of yellowie colour bugs on the leaves.
I was just wondering if anyone knows what they are and if they are harmful to the plant.
Please, please could someone help before my brother finds out.

go to your local hydro shop and get neem oil, and some other organic pesticides. cause you'll probably need them

The leaves are now starting to fall off & some of them are shrivling up, anyone know whats causing this? Please?

its hard to say with out pics but get some neem oil and wipe all the leaves down with it you can mix it with water (according to the directions and add it to the soil too.)
should take care of your bug prob. It's not your fault you got bugs but you can get rid of them.
