Hey all. I've been browsing the site (and others) for awhile. I know there are a million places to look online and previous topics to read through, but (probably like most people) I want help and specific answers for my grow op considering I'm investing a lot of money. It really determines whether or not I'm goingo to make my room. I want to make sure I get everything correct. I know you all answer a lot of questions and the same ones at that, so I'm going to try and make this as clear and legible as possible to ease the pain.
So:
First off, I'd considering myself a 'smart noob' when it comes to calibrating how much I know. I've been researching every possible aspect about growing for over half a year. I've been bouncing back from indoor and outdoor, but have finally decided to grow in my walk-in closet. After bouncing back from which kind of operation I was going to commit to, whether to use Hydroponics, Aeroponics, Soil, SOG grow..etc. I've decided to replicate StinkBud's Senior Aeroponic/NFT 2.1 with 10 slots. http://www.stinkbuddies.com/pdfs/StinkBud_Sr02_1.pdf
Also, I've finally decided to go with a 1000w Quantum Ballast w/ 1000w HPS Hortilux Bulb for flowering and 1000w MH for vegging. Here is more specs:
Walk in closet:
8 feet deep.(L) 4 1/2 feet wide(W) and 8 feet tall(H)
I have an attic opening around 2x2 ft right at above the entrance to the room. I thought this would be a good place to vent my light 6'' Fan + Carbon filter at the end to the outside. (thoughts?)
Also, there is only 1 place where it is not completely sealed, and that is the crack at the bottom of the door going in, obviously. So my most problematic question has been determining how to ventilate, where to ventilate, and what I need once I figure out what kind of ventilation would suit my situation.
Firstly, I live in Central California, 30 miles from the coast.
The majority of the time the temperature outside is around 65-85F during the day. Inside around ~70-80.
During the Summer it is around 85-95 max and spurts in 100s during some weeks. (this is a factor that is confusing me on A/C or Fans or Exhaust/Intake issues.)
During the winter it is around 50-80 any given day outside and 60-72 inside. Sometimes it can get really cold at night, around ~30F but would that be a factor for my closet?
If someone could just give me a 'experienced' opinion on the best way to keep this room in ideal growing condition, let me know!
