My plant has been growing for about 5 days and its still small. What am I doing wrong? Or is it growing perfectly fine. I have it doing 24 hours on.

Aye up MstDope_420 and Welcome to R.I.U. Think You need to offer up a Little more Info Fella...5 days is still a Baby, Give Her chance!! LOL!

Right Here Goes:

a) What Type of Bulb You using? and How Far Away From the Top of The Plants is Bulb?
b) You Are in Soil/Compost with I think Perlite & Clay Pebbles Looking at Pic..So How Much Water and How Often?
c) What Are The Temps/Humidity in Your Grow Space?
d) Do You Have a Fan Setup and An Intake/Exhaust Fan System?
e) What IS The Bean/Strain? Photo-Period(normal) OR Auto?
f) what Size Pot Is She In?

If You can Give a Few Bits Of Info Peeps will be able to help You more..

When This age They Don't need LOADS of Water, So don't over Water...tis a common mistake...Also Try(GENTLY) Tapping on top of the Plant ~ It causes little tears in the plant, which it repairs and Grows strong, after 2wks Try Bending The Stem Left and Right maybe 1-1.5cm(GENTLY) again strengthens Plant.

Try Holding Hand @ same level as Top of Plant, If Hand gets Warm Then so is Your Lady!!

Well i just strted and used whatever i can find 'til i get better equipment. I believe the light is weak. I just checked its 5000k 800lumens 13w cfl its bout half a inch to a inch away from the plant. I watered it yeaterday but i water every two to three days. My friend gave me the seed so i dont know what type it is. I started out in a plastic cup with holes in the bottome for drainage and soon ill be going to a pot . I dont know what size yet. Temp is between 65-80. I have a intake fan.

I found a 2700k 13w 900 lumens but its not soft white. I still think thats too weak. I was thinking of getting a y thing from home depot putting two 24w cfls on it.

You can use the 13w 2700K along side the 5000K 13w one, babies don't need too much light for say 1st week and half maybe, Try and Raise the Bulbs to say 3" from the Tops, Also if You can try and Turn Bulbs Horizontally, Vertical is good when plants are around the light source and Horizontal is better for plants when directly above...IMO...more light spread...

Depending on which way You going to Go??? But after say week 2 You really want at least IDK? 125w 6400K above her, then maybe 250w Giant CFL or move up to 250-400w Mh/Hps Setup...Like I says depends How You going to Do it, and of course Your Budget.

Cant put the other cfl next to it because i need to get the y thing. But right now im low on cash due to bills. What do you mean as to the side so itll be better like at a tilt or completely like left side or right side. One more thing that bulb wont help it at all when it gets bigger , right?

What would happen if i put her in the sun for the morning and afternoon til it goes down and then bring her in and continue it with the bulb i have now then switch to a bigger one when i can .

have You got a Table Lamp?

More is Better, because they are so Low Watt, But plenty of Guys use Shed loads of Low Watt Bulbs to Great Success..

Bugs Probably...IDK? indoors Me and still have to watch for bugs!!

What if i add in a standing lamp with the other cfl ? But then the lamp is about 2 ft tall, the cfl wont really help it right ?

If they are standard bulbs, why not just knock a couple of short leads up, with some Bayonet(fittings) to some Plugs...Bobs Your Uncle...Again Babies Don't need a lot of Lumen 1st Week, But more is better, and a little further away to make her reach for it a little...
I will be starting a New Mini CFL Grow Project with in the next Week, this will be using a modified Wing Reflector to Hold 5 x 30w CFL Vertically and in the Shape of a Cross(Kinda) 3 x 2700K down the Middle and 2 x 6400K either side of the Middle 2700K, My Plan is to get 4oz of 2 x 00 Choco Skunk in 9-10 Weeks

If you have the Cable or extension Lead, Maybe Hang Lamp upside down from Ceiling? top of Cupboard, String or Small Chain attached to raise or Lower..?

Damn. Thats alot for such a little time , but it seems like youll be getting there with all those lights. Leaving the light on for 24 hours will it help? Since its so low on watts.

If You could I would(just my opinion) have the Gal under 18/6 - 18 hours on and 6 hours off, Gives em a rest kinda(but even in the Dark Period she will be doing stuff) RnR = Happy Girl!!

It's just beginning it's Long Journey, Along The Way Will need a Lot more Light, But for Now It's Fine, But two lots of Bulbs hanging above about 2-3" away with little bit of a dark period will do her good, Most of the Planet Sleeps at some point and nearly all living things as well..Just Try and Save some £ £ $ $ and get the best You can With the Budget You have..
