My cabinet is approx: Height-52", Length-21", Width-18".

My problem is that I having difficulties in finding a silent way of extractor air so that their is fresh air circulating.

Ive considered small squirel cage blowers & 5 x PC fans (12v) but because of the voltage Ill have to use too many batterys.

Any advice or links to any products that may help?!

Anyone..............

dont use batteries, use 12 transformers. you can pick up multi voltage ones for a couple of quid, set them to 12volts for full speed, 6 volts for half speed etc.. or you can use an old phone charger, they usually pump out 6-7 volts. an adapter for a shaver, a clock a radio. most of these things run on 12 volts, check the adapter to see what the voltage is, dont use over 12volts as it will burn the brushes on the fans and they will be fucked.

although they are quiet considering the amount of air they move they can get quiet loud when you use enough of them. my veg box is of similar dimensions h48 w24 d18. i use a bathroom fan plugged into a light dimmer to slow it down. ducting coming out of the back with a cooker hood carbon filter sheet rolled up and stuffed in there. works good.

i can show you a photo but my computer wont let me open anything else, its fucked, ill have to reset it first. isn't technology great!

ok here's the best photo i got and it doesnt show much so i dont know how much use it will be for you. i forgot to mention earlier that the ducting i got is insulation sound proof ducting. i got a metre of it coming out of the back, this acts as a silencer to deaden the noise. with the door closed you can hardly hear it, with the door open you can.

in my other box i got a pc fan inserted into a 100mm 90 degree plastic ducting. its even quieter but doesnt shift much air, the box is about 12inches by 12 inches so it doesnt need much air flow to change the air. i cant find a decent photo of that though

this is my mother box just about foot square. the pc fan is inserted into a 100mm air duct bend to trap the light. its the type that fits the round ducting to one end and the flat channel to the other end so it doesnt take up much room at the back

1 To 2 Foot Extra For 12/12.
1foot For Light And Fittings
1 Foot For Inbetween Top Of Plants And Lights.

Ps For Fan Get Some Rechargable Batts.
Or Use Small Computer Fans, They Are Cheap And Easy To Fit.

I Grow In A Closet And Have A Fan "plug In One" Blowing Away From The Light To Help Cool Things Down"600hps"
What Lights You Using?
How Far On In Your Grow Are You?.

here is my closet.
it is 8 foot tall.
also dont keep moving lights "leave them at the top" and move the plants while they grow.
but by the sounds of it, you sound like your going to need a bigger grow space.
maybe use the one you have for a veg/clone room, with flo's.
and
get a 250/or 400ps for 12/12.
flo's arrant very good for 12/12 just veg, unless you have 5 t5's
what cost more than a hps.

just get a old closet or make or buy one.
get a 250 ps and a fan.
put some holes in the top of the closet, for vent.
you could maybe grow 4 to 6 plants under the 250ps.
start 1 plant into 12/12 every 2 weeks and so on, and youll always have bud, then every 2 weeks.
one plant out"ready"
one plant in"what you had in veg.

just a thought.

just say you want 4 plants
they take 4 to 6 weeks veg.
then 6 to 10weeks depending on strain. if you use hps.
flo's arrant good for 12/12.

if you need any help or advice just ask.

the bathroom fan is not noisy, but if the doors are open and the fan is on full speed it does get a bit laud but not laud enough to stop you sleeping. with the fan turned down with a dimmer and the doors shut i cant really hear it unless everything else is dead quiet and no one is talking. its in my bedroom so i sleep with it every night
