HELP! My plant is short!

Hello, this is not only my first grow, but also my first ever post on the site! Soo exciting! Ok so my plants have been alive for about 1 and a half months. I have been giving them a mix of 6.4 pH tap water, and Miracle Grow 30-15-15 (Dont laugh) alternating weeks. they have about a 50/50 mix of perlite and an organic choice soil. Lastly, they are sitting right now under (12) 4' Floro tubes of mixed spectrums, and a few randomly places CFL's.

Now to the journey theyve taken... The two plants started under a single 3000k CFL. At about week two I had an unexpected arrival and had to move the plants into a place where they wouldnt be found (Judgemental family members). They stayed in total darkness for about 1.5 to 2 full days before i was able to pull them back out and put them under the lights. This is where things started looking good, but in a bad way. Both plants had sex'd into females and had accumulated some pretty nice furs. So upon pulling them out of the darkness I had this bright idea that these halogen bulbs that i had produced a ton of light and they were going to be in for some nice light when i put them under it. So i put the two plants under a 500 watt halogen : \ and it stayed pretty hot. I was able to maintain the tempurature in the room at about 80 degrees, but that was very very hard to do. Finally after about three weeks of almost no growth i finally realized that Halogens are horrible. Im embarrased to say that i used them... Anyways, so now they are under a ton of good Floro, and CFL light. 427 Watts exactly. So to finish off the last 2-3 weeks i decided to keep one of the plants in bloom and watch it grow in a full 12/12 and to keep the other in veg, it was way less far along. I decided to do this split because i was really confused on the actual stages the plants were in. They have some nice sized trunks i think, but the node spacing is so tight. When they were placed under the new lights for the first time they were also topped. I tried to do the FIM method but it didnt seem to work out as well. After about a week and a half i topped them again. People talk about topping their plants all the time, and them growing an inch or more every day. I waited a week and a half for about an inch and each time i topped it it seemed to slightly slow the plant.

So my questions are... Do my plants look like they are doing good for the size they are? How far (in weeks) do you think my plants are behind? What could be causing my plants to be growing so slowly? Also out of curiosity what do you think about my choice of soil, nutes, container, and pH balance. Any other comments or pointers needed as well!

All of the pics except for the last two are the plant in veg. The last two pics are the plant in bloom.

I have never seen anything like that in my fucking life! I have no idea bro! That shit is weird and COMPLETELY new to me! It looks like some sort of weed sucker or something..... Sorry I couldn't help more, I'll asnwer your other Q's tho.

Container looks to be alright, how big is it?

I can't tell you what I think of your soil without knowing what brand it is. You just said it's an organic/perlite mix...

I use the MG all purpose nutes for veg, and MG bloom nutes for flower and they work absolutely fine, steer clear of the MG soil tho if possible! Just because of the "time release nutes" You have no idea when those little balls will break and feed your plant, so YOU wouldn't know when to actually feed.

Ph looks to be fine, I don't even check mine.

I'd make a reflector for your lights, it'll help alot! You'll be waisting SO much less light, you really don't even realize untill you get/make one, and it'd be really easy to make!

Hopefully someone who's seen something like this before will stop by to help out, I've never seen a plant like that..... It's uber weird! Looks like some sort of mutant or something! lol, G/L bro!

Wow those are small.... uhh... Stop cutting them! That's one thing. But yeah, it looks like they've had a rough life.

If you have capability to start over or plant one more, I would just put it in a pot and water it and do nothing else to compare growth to what you've got going.
They don't look like they will die, but I don't know if they will grow much bigger.

If you have space to grow you dont need to top, or only top once...

I included pictures of one plant growing to the point where i topped it, and some pictures I've picked up around the net showing Topping and FIM(fuck i missed) methods.

MG Organic Choice soil is being used. I may try to Re-pot if i have to but i was hoping it would have been something else. I have a few mirrors that i bring around every now and then, i just couldnt tell if it makes a big difference. Its hard to watch my plant and check to see how much benefit things are getting because its all soo dense. Im having to remove the inner leaves because they are stacking up on top of each other so close where no light can make it through at all. Im just dissapointed because if you add normal spacing to my nodes, and ignore any time that may have been wasted from me topping it, the plant should be standing like 20 inches tall i think. Its barely pushing 7. Also, Gidget, i was going to try and SoG it, spread it across that whole 12 light setup, hoewever almost all of those lights are being wasted right now since the thing wont bush out : (

I feel bad for you, but every experience is a learning experience.

12/12
12/14
12/16
12/19
12/22
12/29

These are the dates on those pictures I uploaded earlier. That's how fast it grew on CFL's only.

Is there any chance of this plant ever catching back up to speed? Or can plants just halt? This was a really good seed i had that wont be able to get ahold of again. I started 8 plants that im going to let veg for a lot less time and as long as everything is good then ill be happy. Im still worried though. Dont know if i learned my lesson correctly from the first set. Hopefully just keeping them in this current light setup, and not greatly altering their light cycles, will make this next grow more productive.

I hate to say this, but the genetics of these plants are trashed, and can never recover. I'm not sure what caused it, but it was some sort of stress. I'm guessing that it was a combo of some early overfert, and a problem with the FIM procedure that you used. Once they get mutated like that, the mutations are imprinted in it's genetics forever, cannot be repaired, and all the clones will be mutated. Sorry to deliver the bad news man, that sucks.

Time to get some new seeds started. :)

Oh yeah....it's possible that they could grow and open up some, but that might take a looong time. If you want to wait, don't top them anymore, and be prepared to be patient.

A little more bad news...it's very unlikely that they will yield much, unless you let them get to monster size. Even then, you won't get those nice colas that you're hoping for. Damn, now i feel like the bad guy, after telling you all that stuff.LOL
