i am very unfamiliar with this cloning technique...but to answer your question we need more info ...like which part did you cut to clone? And I'm quite sure that you would have better results using a more suitable cloning method for cannabis. And you say 3 days? I clone in rockwool with root 66 , dip'n'grow, and or b1 complex and usually get growth in about 9-11 days- i used to use a diy aero-cloner and got roots in 5 days but was too fAST--- your using this "sit in water directly exposed to light and no air method" and expecting 3 days to show something. For roots to grow they need some air and water/nutes but def NO LIGHT. LIGHT KILLS ROOTS. As far as mommy, she looks like typical under/over water response, but could be heat, could be root bound, could be she used to be in a more confined area?...lots of things could be issue, but nothing looks severe at all, she looks real healthy and promising...which strain is it? With more info as to set up and how things are growing and we can get more specific. I believe though your mom is fine, transplant to a 5 gallon bucket would def allow WAY more root growth and a better stronger mommy to take clones from. And for sure do some studying on cloning because i am almost certain that this is not going to get you results. You would be much more satisfied getting a rooting powder and cloning directly to soil, i think 3 weeks is the average on soil cloning, or go with easier more reliable hydro setup like a jiffy tray with an airstone, bout 1 inches of water, and use rockwool blocks and a rooting gel. Make sure no air reaches the root zone as this will kill them, light will also kill the roots. ph around 5.8 to 6.2, and keep it humid the first few days. They dont need alot of light at this point. Roots usually show around bottom and side of rockwool cube in 5 days.
